I began my career as a designer working alongside Christine Van Der Hurd, a leading figure in textile design, in New York. After returning to the UK, I moved into the publishing industry, starting at Condé Nast’s influential World of Interiors before becoming Style Director at Time Inc’s Livingetc Magazine. Leading a highly creative team, I developed visual narratives that shaped interior trends, inspired a global readership, and were widely syndicated across major book and magazine publishers.

For over 20 years, I worked at the forefront of the interiors industry, collaborating with renowned brands including Conran, Benchmark, Muji, Liberty, Nest, and Original BTC. My work spanned interior styling, creative direction, and editorial design, always with a focus on craftsmanship, aesthetics, and the evolving language of contemporary interiors. As a recognised voice in design, I have regularly spoken on trends, sustainability, and the role of design in shaping how we live.

In 2020, inspired by my parents – both lifelong educators – I expanded my practice to include Art and Design education. I trained as a teacher to share my passion for creativity, helping young people develop artistic confidence and design literacy. Teaching has become a meaningful extension of my work, allowing me to explore creativity from a new perspective.

Alongside my design practice, I teach at an inspiring secondary school, where I believe art and design education is essential in nurturing curiosity, critical thinking, and self-expression. By encouraging students to explore materials, ideas, and processes, I hope to empower them to engage with the world in an imaginative and meaningful way.
