Art and Design education is about opening up new ways of seeing, thinking, and understanding the world. I believe that creativity allows us to express who we are, challenge ideas, and shape the future. In the classroom, I want students to experience the excitement of making, the power of visual storytelling, and the confidence that comes from discovering their own artistic voice.
My own journey in design has shown me how creativity connects people, shapes culture, and influences the way we live. Having worked in interiors, publishing, and creative direction, I know that art and design are not just industries – they are ways of engaging with the world. I teach because I want young people to see that their ideas matter, that they can be part of something bigger, and that creativity is not just a skill but a way of thinking critically and engaging deeply with life.
Sustainability is central to how I teach. Art and Design are powerful tools for change, and I encourage students to think beyond aesthetics – to consider materials, processes, and the impact of what they create. In a world that is constantly evolving, we need young artists and designers who can rethink traditional practices, explore new approaches, and create with responsibility and care.
Above all, I see creativity as a source of possibility. Art and Design offer students a way to make sense of the world, express their individuality, and approach challenges with curiosity and imagination. Whether through my own practice or through teaching, I aim to nurture this creativity – creating spaces where people feel free to take risks, experiment, and discover new ways of seeing. The future belongs to those who can imagine something different – and I want to give my students the tools and confidence to do just that.
